Solo Companygamesrisk

Three developers, three games, three different points of collapse. The panic on the Super Meat Boy team’s faces while watching the server on launch day is the most honest picture of solo work I have seen.

What is interesting is that none of them talks about marketing; all of them talk about the product. The film was shot in 2012, when distribution was still the store’s job. If the same games shipped at the same quality today they would probably go unseen — I watch that happen every week in Radar.

Phil Fish’s section has aged into something painful. The film has an ending it does not know about.
