Changed how I read an architecture diagram more than any architecture book did.

The first place I properly saw feedback loops and delays. Especially the chapter on delayed feedback: as the gap between measurement and effect grows, the system starts to oscillate.
I remembered that chapter while fighting autoscaling settings, and went looking for the problem in the delay rather than the threshold. That turned out to be the right place.
Thin and dense. I read it twice and got more the second time.
